We founded Mejuri on the belief that making fine jewelry doesn’t have to come at the cost of our values, our communities, or our planet. We believe true sustainability is about transparently addressing both impacts on the environment and on the people in our ecosystem.
For that reason, we strike a balance between recycled and fairly mined materials that support communities dependent on the industry. Traceability is important because it allows us to validate the authenticity of the material and improve the social and environmental impacts of our pieces. As we grow globally and expand our networks, maximizing the transparency and traceability of our supply chain is our ultimate goal.
14k Solid Gold
Solid gold is the least reactive metal and won’t oxidize or discolor. Our 14k gold has a subtle hue and is even more scratch resistant than 18k, making it perfect for everyday wear.
To ensure a positive impact on both the environment and local communities, we source a mix of recycled and artisanally mined gold. We work with recycled gold to reduce our environmental impact, and conduct due diligence to ensure that the gold is certified recycled. Artisanal gold mining is a traditional livelihood for millions of people worldwide, so we ensure that any newly mined gold is Fairtrade or certified against international sustainability standards.
All of our gold is traceable from the following sources:
40% of our gold is SCS certified recycled from our recycling partner in the US.
15% of our gold is from a licensed Fairtrade partner.
45% of our gold is traceable to an RJC certified smelter.
Scrub lightly with a soft-bristled brush, warm water and detergent-free soap. Buff gently with a clean cloth and store your pieces in a safe, dry place when not worn.
925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. We plate our silver jewelry in rhodium for extra shine and durability. Rhodium is one of the costliest precious metals due to its rarity.
Remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering. Always apply perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing. To clean, polish gently with a silver cloth. Store in a safe, dry place when not worn.
18k Gold Vermeil
Pronounced “ver-may.” Not to be confused with regular gold plating, our gold vermeil is 18k gold that is a minimum of 2.5 microns thick, and layered over sterling silver

Diamonds and Gemstones
Diamonds are one of the hardest natural substances found on earth. Our high-quality diamonds (SI 1-2 clarity) are ethically sourced from suppliers who follow conflict-free and socially responsible practices.
Use warm water, detergent-free soap and a soft-bristled brush, rinsing the stone and setting afterward to ensure there is no residue. Store in a safe, dry place when not worn.
All of our gemstones are genuine mineral stones, highly valued for their beauty, longevity and rarity. We use an array of precious and semi-precious stones, from sapphires (AAA quality) to citrine. These are either cabochon stones that are cut like smooth domes or faceted stones made with flat faces to create geometric shapes.
To keep gemstones clean and shiny, scrub lightly with a soft-bristled brush, warm water and detergent-free soap. Avoid chemicals or excessive temperatures when cleaning. Store in a safe, dry place when not worn.
We carefully select cultured pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels. Pearls are sensitive in nature, so avoid chemicals or excessive temperatures.
Pearls should be the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you take off when you come home. For routine care, wipe culture pearls with a soft, clean cloth after each wear. Avoid direct contact with chemicals found in perfume or other cosmetics. Store individually in a safe, dry place when not worn.
