Piercing Aftercare
Your new piercing is only the beginning. A little care goes a long way—following a consistent aftercare routine will help support healthy healing over the months ahead. Most lobe piercings heal in 3–6 months, while cartilage piercings typically take 6–12 months. We're here to help, every step of the way.
Tips for Taking Care
Rinse
- •
Let warm water run over your piercing for about 20 seconds at the end of your shower.
Spray
- •
Use Mejuri's Piercing Aftercare Solution twice daily to clean the front and back of your piercing.
- •
Hold the spray approximately 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) from the piercing and spray the front and back.
Dry
- •
Pat dry with a clean paper towel or allow the area to air dry.
Hands Off
- •
Always wash your hands before cleaning or touching your piercing.
- •
Avoid touching, twisting, or rotating your jewelry while it's healing.

- •
Leave your jewelry in while it heals.
- •
Clean your piercing twice a day with Mejuri's Piercing Aftercare Solution.

Book your complimentary check-up in 4–6 weeks.

Dont's
- •
Don't touch your piercing with unwashed hands.
- •
Don't twist or rotate your jewelry.
- •
Don't sleep directly on your piercing.
- •
Don't remove or change your jewelry before it's fully healed.
- •
Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, lakes, or oceans while your piercing heals.
- •
Keep hair products, makeup, lotions, pets, and other potential irritants away from your piercing.
- •
Avoid unnecessary pressure from headphones, helmets, hats, or other accessories.

After 4–6 weeks of healing, come back for a complimentary check-up. Keep using Mejuri’s Piercing Aftercare Solution until your piercing is fully healed. We’ll assess your progress, determine whether you’re ready to downsize your jewelry for a more comfortable fit, and make sure everything is healing as it should.
