FLAT BACK STUDS

Flat back studs are earrings with a smooth, flat post (also known as a labret) that sits flush against the ear, with no protruding post. Their design ensures a comfortable fit for daily wear and even while sleeping, as the smooth backing prevents irritation from rubbing against the skin.

These studs differ from those that use butterfly backings and have a slightly different process for putting on and removing them. Here’s how:

Step 1

Start by inserting the flat back post through the back of the ear, not through the piercing itself.

Step 2

Once the flat back post is in place, insert the stud into the hole of the flat back post.

Step 3

Apply gentle pressure to push the stud all the way in, securing it firmly in place.Double-check to ensure the stud sits securely within the flat back post.
