Violette’s Effortless Guide to Wearing Color
What happens when you combine a love of makeup with an equal love of gemstones? Four colorful looks that are as effortless as their wearer: Violette. The Estée Lauder Beauty Director and master of on-the-go beauty shares four easy ways to complement your jewelry with timeless and unexpected colors.
Bold Eyeliner + Onyx Stone Drop Earrings
“For the eyes, I used Pat McGrath Black Eyeliner + Outrageous Volume Mascara by Sephora. I like when my liner is thick and the line is not too curved. It makes my eyes more almond-y. Wear this look anytime! This is a classic!”
Sun Kissed Highlight + Turquoise Stone Drop Earrings
“For this look, I used Glossier sheer matte lid tint in Pebble + Juvia’s Place Wahala Eye Palette. There is this color called Rumors that I love—I like to apply an eyeshadow as a highlighter. I pat it to build it up and create a big impact on my skin. I love to wear this look toward the end of the day or in the evening, so the highlight pops. Also with sun-kissed skin so the color pops even more.”
Quick Eyeshadow + Malachite Stone Drop Earrings
“I used the Pat McGrath Mothership V: Bronze Seduction Palette - there is this light green shade that reminds me of the Malachite Stone Drop Earring. To apply, I used my finger to pat a bit of the shadow on my eyelid. Super easy. I would wear this look in the summer, with sun-kissed skin!”
A Classic Red Lip + Agate Stone Drop Earrings
“I used my lipstick Poppy Sauvage that I created for Estée Lauder. Nothing special for this look! A real classic for a French girl like me. I wear this look to buy groceries, have brunch, on a date… anywhere… anytime.”
