Gold

When properly cared for, our 14k and 10k Gold pieces can last forever. With its beautiful, subtle hue, you can wear your jewelry every day, everywhere.

What to Know

Gold is strong—but not indestructible. It’s made to be worn often and loved hard, but even the everyday essentials need a little care.

How to Store

Be mindful of how you store and wear gold jewelry, and your pieces will continue to look as good as new. When not being worn, store your jewelry in a safe, dry place to protect it from the elements.

Traveling? Use a case with individual compartments.

At Mejuri, fine jewelry is more than craftsmanship and style—it’s a commitment to social and environmental responsibility. From responsibly sourced materials to trusted supplier partnerships, every step of our supply chain brings us closer to net zero emissions. Rigorous testing and precise composition mean our pieces surpass the highest industry standards and are made to last. This is jewelry you can feel good about.

How to clean gold jewelry

While gold is made to last a lifetime, it does require gentle care and occasional polishing. Here’s how to keep it looking fresh:

  • To maintain the shine of your jewelry, gently clean it with a soft-bristled brush or cloth using warm water and detergent-free soap, or use our Jewelry Care Kit.

  • Stay away from abrasive cleaners.

  • Ultrasonic cleaners are safe to use on 10k and 14k gold jewelry.

  • If your gold ever discolors, use the polishing cloth to revive it.

Why is my gold jewelry causing discoloration on my skin?

Noticing a little discoloration on your skin? Totally normal—and nothing to worry about. It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with your jewelry.

We use 14k and 10k gold to create products with strength and durability. Both contain metal alloys that are harder than pure gold, which makes them more resilient for everyday wear. When worn while applying cosmetic products, these harder metals can rub off in very tiny particles. These particles appear black in color and can create a smudge when they come in contact with your skin. If it happens, it’s safe and can be cleaned with soap and water.
