What to Know

Even the finest materials can react to their environment, but with a little care, it’s nothing that can’t be fixed.

How to Store

Be mindful of how you store and wear your jewelry, and your pieces will continue to look as good as new. When not being worn, store your jewelry in a safe, dry place to protect it from the elements of daily exposure.

At Mejuri, fine jewelry is more than craftsmanship and style—it’s a commitment to social and environmental responsibility. From responsibly sourced materials to trusted supplier partnerships, every step of our supply chain brings us closer to net zero emissions. Rigorous testing and precise composition mean our pieces surpass the highest industry standards and are made to last. This is jewelry you can feel good about.

How to clean yellow gold jewelry
  • While 14k gold is made to last a lifetime, it does require gentle care and occasional polishing.

  • To maintain the shine of your jewelry, gently clean it with a soft-bristled brush or cloth using warm water and detergent-free soap, or use our Jewelry Care Kit.

  • Don’t use abrasive cleaners.

  • Ultrasonic cleaners are safe to use on 14k gold jewelry.

  • If your 14K discolors use the polishing cloth to revive it.

Why is my gold jewelry causing discoloration on my skin?

If your skin has some discoloration, don’t worry— it’s normal for a piece of gold jewelry to cause discoloration and doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the product.

We use 14k gold to give our products strength and durability. Because 14k pieces have chemical compounds in them harder than gold, wearing them when applying cosmetic products rubs off very tiny particles of metal. These particles appear black in color, and can create a smudge when they come in contact with your skin. If it happens, it’s safe and can be cleaned with soap and water.
