5 Jewelry Styling Hacks that Only an Insider Knows

January 14, 2022Art of the Stack

If you’ve ever wished for a personal stylist, listen here.

We asked one of our Mejuri Toronto stylists for her essential styling hacks. We’ve covered all the bases—from how to layer necklaces and expertly craft ring stacks, to finding the best versatile piece for your collection. When you’re feeling stuck with your go-to jewelry looks (it happens), follow these tips and you’ll be just fine.

1. HOW TO LAYER

For the easiest two-step formula: “Layer at least one bold piece with a more delicate piece. Try pairing our Serpentine Chain with our Boyfriend Bold Necklace and Zodiac Necklace”.

2. FIND PIECES WITH POTENTIAL

Get yourself a do-it-all ring that works well with others. Our stylist says “I love the Duo Ring for its versatility. Because it’s intertwined, it’s perfect to pair with any ring that makes it difficult for stacks to lay flush against each other. The dip created by the two rings acts like a little ‘nest”. Recreate this bold look with the Marawa Heirloom Ring or Diamond Beaded Ring.

3. TRY 2-IN-1 STYLES

Your go-to necklace can also be your go-to bracelet. Our stylist explains, “Our Boyfriend Bold Chain Necklace works amazingly as a bracelet as well! It wraps around most wrists twice and once you clasp it, it looks just like a stack".

Go ahead and add a charm for extra sparkle.

4. HOW TO MIX METALS

Choose your preferred tone of white or yellow pieces, “Once you have your ‘base’, incorporate small pieces in the opposite metal so everything mixes well while remaining cohesive and intentional.” Our stylist recommends the white gold Stacker Ring with a yellow gold Twist Ring on one hand, and the Bold Stacker with a white gold Beaded Stacker on the other.

5. THE STACK THAT WORKS 24/7

To set yourself up for an impactful stack, invest in (at least) one bold piece. “My top recommendations are our Serpentine Chain Necklace or Bold Herringbone Chain Necklace. They're reflective pieces that give the look of liquid gold draped across your chest. Pair that with any delicate style and you’ll have a simple yet effective stack that works for any time of day”.
