This was an engagement ring... we are in our 50's and 'been there done that' so I was looking for something that made an impression but was elegant and understated while properly marking the occasion as special. I find the classic door knob on a band engagement ring a but juvenile for her (and me as the gift giver) and too ostentatious for a daily wear. She loves this ring!
