Introducing Fine Jewelry for His Every Day
When it comes to fine jewelry, the question is often, where to start? For us, itâs an easy answer: with a 14k solid gold chain. Beyond that, the potential is endlessâfrom cuffs and rings to materials like sterling silver and titanium. The bottom line is: you can wear fine jewelry. Anyone can.
In true Mejuri fashion, our Menâs collection was designed for everyday wear. With that in mind, we captured three New York-based guysâphotographer and director Tyler Joe; creative producer, writer and editor Yale Breslin; and entrepreneur Kofi Gyekyeâon the streets of Manhattan and asked them to give a little advice on how to style their new favorite pieces.Â
Our new collection is now available to pre-order before its official launch on October 5. Shop it now!
Find a staple to wear every day
Take it from Kofiâwhen it comes to jewelry, start simple and see what feels comfortable before layering it on.Â
âFind a staple to wear every day. The Round Box Chain Bracelet reminds me of the classic bracelets my uncles and grandparents would wear; it reminds me of their Swahili culture. I would also advise being open to wearing womenâs jewelry as well. I tend to find whatever I like and feel comfortable withâgender-tailored jewellery is never an issue for me.â
Don't be afraid of jewelry
Consistency is Tylerâs holy grail: his personal style revolves around a uniformâbut he loves a good accent piece.
âDonât be afraid of jewelry. I didnât know I wanted to wear jewelry until someone gave me my first piece and I said, âwhy not?â After that I kept adding more. My favourite pieces are all the gold ones. They look great with my skin tone and theyâre really understated, so I can wear them with everything.â
Keep it simple
Yale is all for keeping it classic. In fact, he can usually get dressed in under 60 seconds.Â
âIâm more the type of guy who throws a piece of jewelry on at the last minute before I walk out the door. It just adds to the mood. You can never go wrong with keeping it simple. I say no more than two pieces of jewelry at a time ... anything more than that can feel overboard.â
