Three Couples Style Our New Wedding Bands

Few things are more inspiring than seeing the Mejuri community give our pieces a permanent place in their stacks—in this case, for the rest of their lives. And for these couples, finding wedding bands that perfectly capture their shared style makes the occasion that much more memorable (and everlasting).

So, if you’re thinking about your big day (or just manifesting the future), read on to see three real couples style our wedding bands and hear why they chose each piece to symbolize their one-of-a-kind relationships.

How did you meet?

We had run in similar circles for a while but never really ‘met’. Having both left roles at companies we had each worked at for many years—in offices, we later realized we were about a block from each other on Crosby Street, in SoHo. We found ourselves with a lot of time on our hands, so [we were] just being kids again and seeing what emerged.

What are your wedding plans?

We wanted something that allowed us to be with our local friends (that have in many ways become family) here in New York. A small ceremony at Brooklyn Borough Hall (with only one witness allowed!) followed by an informal reception for 30 people at our friends’ beautiful home on the Upper East Side. Later, we’ll go back to the UK to celebrate with my family and friends in Devon on the South West Coast. And, we have a honeymoon to plan—somewhere in Joshua Tree is my dream.

Describe your relationship in three words.

Revelatory, deep and loving.

Why did you choose this ring?

Simplicity; there is an honesty to a fine gold band, that reminds me of family and that is what we’ve created together.

How did you meet?

We met at a restaurant in New York (through mutual friends) while I was visiting from Toronto.

What are your wedding plans?

We are having a small wedding at my parents' cottage in Muskoka. 

Describe your relationship in three words.

Encouraging, connected and fun.

Why did you choose this ring?

Kenny likes a classic style and layering gold chains so he decided to stack two gold rings. I like something a bit more delicate with a little sparkle (not to mention it pairs perfectly with my vintage 1970s engagement ring). We think that while different, our rings complement each other perfectly—just like us.

How did you meet? 

We met at the opening of a hotel in Montreal—Philippe’s cousin introduced us. We spoke on and off for about a year and then Phil finally decided to ask me on a date.

What are your wedding plans? 

We would like to have an intimate destination wedding. Somewhere in the countryside in Italy would be our dream setting!

Describe your relationship in three words. 

Unexpected, fulfilling and spontaneous.

Why did you choose this ring? 

The daintiness of the band matches perfectly with my engagement ring.
