On the Streets of New York City

ISABELLA MASSENET
DJ
It was once said, more is more. And for DJ Isabella Massenet, whether that’s the volume of her DJ sets or the way she wears her jewelry, this Spring, she’s leaning into making her accessories take the spotlight. Born in London and now residing in New York City, the music aficionado has come to learn that what really makes an outfit stand out are the earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets that she uses to accessorize her downtown girl-on-the-go attitude.
Her style rule? Recycle the clothes while updating the jewelry. Her favorite trench (a nod to her childhood in London and seen here photographed on the streets of NYC), is the perfect canvas for a pop of color, as you can see with her ruby red ring.
One of our favorite looks of the season, her borrowed-from-her-boyfriend baseball cap with a pair of jeans and loafers with gold spurts throughout mixes elements of her individual style infused throughout her outfit as does pairing her prized black tuxedo blazer paired with a multitude of her favorite necklaces and bracelets.
Don’t be afraid to pare it back, as Massenet is often one to do, shown here wearing a classic yet statement necklace set against the backdrop of her vintage-sourced leather jacket.
Rajni Jacques
Global Head of Fashion & Beauty, Snap Inc.
As the Head of Fashion & Beauty at Snap Inc., Rajni Jacques knows a thing or two about the global fashion runways. Her former career as a magazine editor, where she led the fashion teams at magazines like Allure, Teen Vogue, and Nylon, it was her responsibility to tell her readers what trends and styles they should be wearing - both clothing and accessories - for the season ahead.
Naturally, her style has been copied and shared to numerous moodboards over the years, but what she’s been recognized most for is her jewelry choices. For Spring, she’s leaning into her preferred choice - silver. A simple yet bold outfit, here wearing an oversized blazer, goes perfectly with her penchant for standing out - striking silver bracelets with extra shine, architecturally designed rings, and a thin necklace that doesn’t steal the thunder.
For extra points, add your initial charms to the chain, just like Jacques did. As the weather gets warmer, don’t be afraid to get playful with your jewelry. We’ve been seeing this style on the global fashion catwalks, so keep up with the trends and pile it on, be bold, and while they say “remove one thing before you walk out the door”, in this case, rules are meant to be broken.
